The Madawaska Valley Public Library was established in 1960 and throughout the years has seen much growth, not only in content, but in physical facilities as well.

The Madawaska Valley Public Library has become an integral part of the community's life. It is committed to the growth and overall benefit of its patrons and our community as a whole.

Don't miss "An Introduction to Lichens of the North" Saturday, March 30th at 2:00pm
"An introduction to lichens of the Hudson Bay region, a dynamic subarctic environment where tundra, boreal, and marine biomes meet. Exploring both the lives of lichens - their growth rates, the places they inhabit, and their often colourful names - and their use in geological and historical fields, this presentation will explore these unique life-forms and their place in the natural history of the subarctic. Accompanying photos will help provide an overview of common species identification."
